Dear Preschool Parents,
It is difficult to believe the end of the school year is just around the corner. However, we are still busy learning and have many special activities happening in Pre-K. Today we wished the Eighth Graders farewell as they “Walked the Halls” one last time. Friday we will be reading with our Fourth Grade friends one more time. I think we will be sharing a special snack too! And, we are sharing extra fun activities as we count down the days.
We will have our End of the Year Celebration for students during the last week of school. The event will be low key and is just for the children. If you are interested in assisting with the special snack or supplies please let your child’s teacher know or watch for an End of the Year Sign Up Genius.
Pre-K Summer Camp will begin on Monday, June 5th . Please contact the office if you have any questions regarding camp.

Dear Preschool Parents,
“Water Day” was wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The “fishing holes”, Mermaid Lagoon, and car wash were all huge “hits” with the children. Thank you again to all those families that assisted with activities, clean-up and supplies. Portfolio Morning was also fantastic! The children rose to the occasion with their dancing and singing talents.
The end of the year may be near but we are still busy in preschool. We are reviewing skills, dancing to our favorite songs, singing a few tunes and learning about the ocean and it’s many creatures.
SUMMER CAMP – Camp will begin on June 5 this year. The cost for Prek is $155 per week. Please contact the office if you have any further questions.

Dear Pre-K families,
It’s difficult to believe May is already here! We are beginning our final unit of study. The children will be busy learning about the ocean and all of it’s incredible creatures. This is always such an interesting topic because of our proximity to the water. The children never tire of learning more fascinating facts. Of course, we will continue to review and reinforce our regular material too.
Portfolio Morning/Pre-K Water Day News
We have rescheduled Portfolio Night for Friday, May5th. The children will have their performances and share their portfolios before their assigned Water Day times. Please see the attached schedule.
If you are unable to attend either or both of these activities please don’t worry, we will be taping the performance and there will be Water Day pictures posted on St. A’s social media sites.
The children will NOT be wearing jeans and white shirts as originally planned. Instead the boys will wear their swimsuits and t-shirt to school. Girls will wear their swimsuits under their clothes. This way your child will only have to take off their outer clothes for the water fun and then change back into them afterwards. Your child may water shoes or regular shoes to school. We will change shoes as needed.
Each child will need to bring the following items to school in a plastic bag. We will return all their wet things in this bag. Please remember to label clothing and all other items with your child’s name. Thank You!

- boys will need dry shorts to change into after we play
- a towel
- water shirt if needed
- water shoes or old tennis shoes that can get wet – NO Crocs or sandals

Dear PreK Families,
We have exciting news! The children met the final Letter Friend today — Mr. X. He helps us remember that although we are all different we are X-tra special.
“Pre-K Water Day” plans are in the works!
Our annual End of the Year Celebration, Pre-K Water Day, is set for Friday, May 5th starting at 9:00 and ending at 11:15. This year we will have a variety of water play stations and interactive activities set up on the PreK playground for the children to enjoy. You may volunteer to help with an outside center for your child’s class, send in supplies and/or assist with cleanup. We will be sending a sign up Genius link very soon. Thank you in advance for your support!

Are you Spring cleaning?
As the school year is coming to a close we begin cleaning and sanitizing our manipulative puzzles, center items, etc… before we pack them away for summer. We are looking for donations of old towels to use for drying items.

Just a few updates about upcoming events.
FUN RUN — Friday, April 21st We will walk over to the soccer field first thing in the morning for our 30 minute “run/walk”. The Preschool time slot is from 8:15-8:45 so make sure your little ones are ready for “action”! The children are to wear their regular school uniform with appropriate shoes for running. Don’t forget to send your child’s water bottle.
Portfolio Night — Thursday, April 27th You should have received your time slot last week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. We are asking your child to wear jeans, jean shorts, or a jean skirt with a white shirt for this special presentation. We look forward to seeing you then.

Field Day was fabulous! The children had a wonderful time running, jumping and playing with their friends. Parents & grandparents had a terrific time visiting with other St. A’s families and cheering the children on. This special gathering time is one of the things that makes our school so special. Once again, thank you for your donations and assistance. Your support makes these events possible.
Egg Hunt – On Wednesday, April 5th the children will have an egg hunt on our PreK Playground during recess time. Thank you to all those families that were able to contribute items to make this event possible.

Just a few updates about upcoming events.
Field Day – Friday, March 31st -The children may wear play clothes, such as shorts and T-shirts, with tennis shoes or sneakers to school. No crocs or sandals please. Please remember to apply sunscreen at home. Unfortunately, we are unable to apply sunscreen at school.
We will walk over to the St. Anastasia Soccer Field at 9:00. If you volunteered to assist, please meet in the courtyard outside classrooms B-3 & B-4 around 8:45. We will have sign in sheets so there is no need for you to check in through the Front Office. So you can give your child your undivided attention, we encourage you to make other arrangements for younger siblings. We are looking forward to a fun morning.
